Using several pieces of A.I-based upscaling software, a modder has upscaled about 15,000 textures used in Fallout: New Vegas. The textures have a 4x upscale (2x horizontal, 2x vertical), giving New Vegas a sharper, cleaner look. This isn't the first instance of a mod team using A.I to upscale textures; Final Fantasy VII received an upscale mod earlier this year.
Artificial Intelligence is redefining the technology world and presenting new methods for tackling difficult problems in finance, science, and business. Apparently, older video games are also getting some love from A.I. A new texture pack for Fallout: New Vegas released this week used several imaging systems with A.I to upscale about 15,000 textures. Perbedaan antara emosi dan temprament album.
Released by modder DcCharge, the texture pack used software like A.I. GigaPixel, Waifu2x, GIMP 2, ImageMagick, and others to increase the quality of 13,000 textures from the base New Vegas game and 2,000 textures from all DLC released for the title.
Despite the massive scope of the texture pack, DcCharge was unable to upscale textures for billboards, the user interface, and all level-of-detail textures. DcCharge has said he may look into upscaling these files at a later date.
This isn’t the only retro game in recent history that’s received a massive graphical facelift with the help of A.I. Final Fantasy VII received a mod that increased the resolution of its pre-rendered backgrounds earlier this year by using the A.I. GigaPixel software. The upscale for Final Fantasy VII was once thought untenable, as the original texture files were lost by Square Enix shortly after the game's release. Thanks to A.I., older games are getting fresh coats of paint while fans wait for official remakes.

Author notes
It appears that these permissions seem to be misunderstood or overlooked as I am still receiving a lot of email requesting asking for permission to use my graphic assets. Therefore, I would like to make clear that I do not wish for any of my textures in any of my mods to be included as part of any mod or project at all. I would appreciate if you could please repect my wishes and do not to continue to PM me asking for permissions to use my textures in your project(s) by ignoring the permissions clearly stated here already.

So the other day I started up Fallout New Vegas again after a break and I come back to some guns with awful big black pixelated sqaure shadows on them and when ever I look a few inches infront of me everything is blurred to hell and also the ground literally looks like the minecraft texture for rock and I don't understand why. I have no mods installed and I've reinstalled. My rig Intel Quad core 2.40ghz Nivida geforce 275 gtx 800mb 3 gig Ram Windows 7 64 bit It was fine earlyier but I came back to it the other day and everything looks like a ps1 game apart from under my feet. I've tried to post this on a lot of sites and even email bethesda but no replies from anyone and I just want to play my game without these horrible blurs and smudges cos my game used to look good but now fuzzy pixely and rubbish. Here is a screenshot you may need to zoom in to it, it seems like a problem with draw distance aswell: http://img861.imageshack.us/i/42859948.jpg/ Here is a screenshot:
Hey guys, when i first installed new vegas ultimate edition steam the game looked great (even vanilla.) After installing a couple texture packs-nmc and poco bueno, the textures that the packs don't touch are missing or are simply loading in extremely low res now. I thought it my just be my eyes playing tricks on me so I deleted it completely(at least I believe I did-every file I saw of it on c:// drive) and then reinstalled 2-3 times and didn't install any packs and restored nvidia control panel settings to default multiple times also, and still those terrible textures. I looked at oblivion to verify that I wasn't bugging a little and even never remembered fallout 3 having a single low res texture. I also deleted the save games. Thanks guys for any help you can provide with this. take care.
